    Spend a relaxing afternoon paddleboarding at Morgan Falls Overlook Park in Sandy Springs! Morgan Falls Overlook Park is an inlet of the Chattahoochee River with smooth flatwater that provides for an easy and beginner-friendly paddle boarding experience. Try your hand at one of the fastest growing water sports in the nation, all while taking in the scenic views that the Chattahoochee has to offer.

  • UMatter: An Upstander Intervention Program

    UMatter is an upstander intervention program to support a culture that cares about and helps each other in our community. Participants will discuss ways to safely identify and help a peer in need related to interpersonal violence and substance use, work through realistic and interactive scenarios, and raise awareness about support resources available in the UGA community.   • SUP Safari at Folly Beach

    Friday, April 7th 2023 5:00 PM - Sunday, April 9th 2023 5:00 PM

    Event Location: Departs from Ramsey Student Center

    Come join the ORC off the coast of Charleston at Folly Beach! We’ll be embarking on a paddleboarding safari on the bayside of Folly Island where dolphins, turtles, pelicans, and other coastal wildlife are commonly spotted. We will also spend time relaxing and swimming in the ocean. We will be camping at the James Island County Park, which is just a short drive from the island. No experience is required to be successful on this trip, but participants should be comfortable floating and swimming in large bodies of water. Paddleboards, paddles, life jackets, and other group gear will be provided.

  • Shuckstack Fire Tower Backpacking

    Saturday, April 8th 2023 8:00 AM - Sunday, April 9th 2023 5:00 PM

    Event Location: Departs from Ramsey Student Center

    Come join us and explore Great Smoky Mountains National Park! This overnight backpacking journey will begin by crossing Fontana Dam, the tallest dam east of the Rockies. After that, we begin gaining elevation but with great effort comes great rewards as we top out at the 60 foot tall Shuckstack Fire tower, offering sweeping views of Fontana Lake and the surrounding Smokys. This is a 7 mile round-trip venture and is considered moderately strenuous. No prior experience is required, but participants should be comfortable being on their feet for long periods of time.
