    Event Location: Departs from Ramsey Student Center

    Spend the weekend backpacking through the Cohutta Wilderness with the ORC. You will experience some of North Georgia's most lush, remote forests in the midst of Autumn, so get ready for some spectacular Fall colors! We will also encounter waterfalls and follow along a winding river. Come prepared to step on rocks and climb to some scenic heights!

  • Vertical Caving Overnight

    Event Location: Departs from Ramsey Student Center

    Join the ORC and take advantage of the opportunity to explore a vertical cave! Learn how to rappel with us during the pre-trip meeting, so that you can descend into the depths of an amazing cave. No prior knowledge necessary. You will explore caverns and marvel at the incredible cave formations on the walls, floors and ceilings. The pre-trip meeting is mandatory.

  • Heart Health Workshop: Free Fitness Class (Graduate Students)

    Interested in nutrition and well-being?

    This workshop is open to all UGA students, offering practical guidance and tips to improve heart health through nutrition and movement.

    Join us an exciting and free HIIT (high intensity interval training) at Ramsey taught by certified instructor. Open and adaptable to all fitness levels and skills.

    Attend 1, 2, or all 3 classes. Participants must pre-register via the Involvement Network. RSVP required for cooking class and group fitness class as space may be limited.

    Learn how to cook a healthy meal with one of the dietitians the University Health Center in the Nutrition Kitchen. FYOS approved!

    Call 706-542-8690 to register. $5 per class for students who have paid the health fee or $10 for non-fees paid students. If you sign-up and do not end up attending the cooking class, you will be charged the class fee. If you cannot attend, please call remove yourself from the list so that another student can participate.

  • Sew to Survive (Clinic)

    Sewing is way more than a household skill! It is an essential outdoor skill that can keep you warm, dry, and bug-free even when your gear malfunctions. Clinic participants will learn basic sewing techniques that can be used to repair tears in bug nets, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and clothing. The ORC will provide materials so that participants can practice their newfound sewing skills.
