College of Veterinary Medicine – Teaching Hospital
The Student Wellness Room located in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital is available for third and fourth year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students. Just like the Vet Hospital, the DVM Student Wellness Room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. DVM clinical students are some of the hardest working students across campus, often starting with patient care responsibilities at 6 am. Animal emergencies can happen any time of day or night, so when students are on call, they are welcome to take a short siesta in the room’s zero gravity massage chair, cot, or couch. The stressors of everyday life in a busy teaching veterinary hospital can be eased by a trip to the wellness room for a moment to reflect, gather thoughts, or use any of the room’s tension relieving activities. The room was designed by DVM students who serve on the College’s Wellness Committee.
